Flange globe valves belong to forced sealing valves, so when the valve is closed, pressure must be applied to the valve disc to force the sealing surface not to leak. When the medium enters valve six from below the valve disc, the resistance that the operating force needs to overcome is the frictional force between the valve stem and the packing, as well as the thrust generated by the pressure of the medium. The force required to close the valve is greater than the force required to open it, so the diameter of the valve stem should be larger, otherwise the valve stem will bend due to failure. Flange globe valves are easy to operate with threaded seat rings that are easily accessible for maintenance or replacement. The swing bolt on most valves simplifies the replacement of the packing. All bolted valve cover structures make disassembly faster.
The types of flange globe valves are classified into external thread type and internal thread type according to the position of the valve stem thread. According to the flow direction of the medium, there are straight through, direct current, and angular types. Globe valves are divided into packing sealed globe valves and bellows sealed globe valves according to their sealing forms.
The products in the category of globe valves include not only flange globe valves, but also low-temperature globe valves, which are being studied by technical personnel in many domestic valve manufacturers to further improve their shortcomings.
